Calorie (TDEE) calculator

Estimate how many calories you burn per day (TDEE) using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation and a standard activity factor.

Informational only. This calculator gives an estimate from a published formula. It is not medical advice and cannot account for your health history. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you enter is sent or stored.

How this is calculated

Resting energy (BMR) uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation: 10 × weight (kg) + 6.25 × height (cm) − 5 × age (years), then +5 for males or −161 for females. BMR is multiplied by a standard activity factor (1.2 to 1.9) to estimate total daily energy expenditure (TDEE).

Real calorie needs vary from person to person. For a personalized plan over time, the NIH's Body Weight Planner models how intake changes affect weight.
